Deepscan Operation

Operation Deepscan was the most important and largest attempt to find the Loch Ness monster.

Procedure:  sweeping the loch from top to bottom.

Start Date: October 1986

Result: three contacts were made which moved at different depths. The following day the ships went to the same place and found nothing. The media took the “No Contact” as bad news and despite the fact that 60% of the total surface of the loch was covered, the press considered that the project failed
