4 – ideal to serve with meat, fish and also with Haggis.

lb (450g) potatoes
- 1
lb (450g) turnips
- 1
oz (25g) chives
- 1
oz (25g) butter
- salt
and pepper.
Peel
and boil the potatoes and the turnips. Drain well and mash together.
Add chopped chives, butter and plenty of seasoning. Serve very hot.-
