Serve 4 – ideal to serve with meat, fish and also with Haggis.
1 lb (450g) potatoes
1 lb (450g) turnips
1 oz (25g) chives
1 oz (25g) butter
salt and pepper.
Peel and boil the potatoes and the turnips. Drain well and mash together. Add chopped chives, butter and plenty of seasoning. Serve very hot.
